I’ll be making changes to the website as I learn more about WordPress and what I want to show you.
The homepage background image is the top of a pen box I chip carved a couple of years ago. It is basswood – the best for chip carving. It hadn’t been stained yet. I’ll post another photo or two of the finished box to show how the stain increases the contrast between flats and cut areas. I’ll also add some background information on how I learned to chip carve, a few of the pieces I’ve finished, and what tools and materials I use.
